Setup guide
How it works
MailFrame connects to your Resend account so you can send and receive email from your own domain. Setup takes about 15 minutes, most of which is waiting for DNS to propagate.
Create a Resend account and API key
Sign up at resend.com, go to API Keys, and create a key with Full access. You'll paste this into MailFrame's provider settings once your workspace is set up.
Add your domain to Resend
Go to resend.com/domains and add your domain. Do not enable Email Receiving yet — you need to verify the domain first or the DNS records will conflict.
Add DNS verification records
Copy the DKIM and SPF records from Resend into your DNS provider (Cloudflare, Namecheap, Route53, etc.). Propagation can take up to 48 hours. MailFrame detects verification automatically via webhook.
Enable receiving and add the MX record
Once your domain is verified, go back to Resend and toggle on Email Receiving. Then add the MX record (inbound.resend.com, priority 10) in your DNS provider. This routes incoming mail to your MailFrame inbox.
Create a webhook and add the signing secret
Go to resend.com/webhooks, add your MailFrame webhook URL, and enable the email.received and domain.updated events. Copy the signing secret into MailFrame's provider settings to verify every delivery.
